I am a student who is very passionate about academics and learning. I graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia with a 4.065 cumulative GPA (over all 4 years). I was a member of 3 honor societies - the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the Quill and Scroll Honor Society (for journalism). I took 5 Higher Level (HL) courses in the International Baccalaureate Program - English, Spanish, history, math, and biology. My performance on the PSATs earned me the title of 'Scholar' in the National Hispanic Recognition Program as well as the title 'Commended Scholar.' I was awarded the Excellence in Spanish Language award this year. I am near-fluent in Spanish and conversational in Brazilian Portuguese. I will be attending the nation's #1 architecture school at Virginia Tech this fall. I love helping children understand concepts that once seemed daunting - especially when it comes to math, science, and Spanish.
