Profile Tips

Here are some tips to make sure your profile has maximum impact...

Add a photo

Profiles with pictures get more traffic. You don't need to have the looks of Brad Pitt or Angelie Jolie, just add a picture of you looking friendly and approachable and you'll get more clicks.

Add as much information as possible

Let students know as much about you as you can. This is your chance to show that you really know your subject and that you are the best tutor for the student. If you are stuck for ideas you can use our 'Insert Standard Tutor Info' button to give you inspiration. Things you might like to include are...

How much do you charge?

Where do you teach?

When are you available (Weekdays, weekends, evenings only etc.)?

Which ages and levels do you teach?

Have you been police checked?

What qualifications do you have?

Do you belong to any professional organisations?

Where and with whom did you train?

What tutoring experience do you have?

Tell us about your current students.

Do you have anything to say to potential parents or students?

Fill in your coordinates

If you leave your coordinates blank you will not appear in local searches. Just enter your location details including zip / postcode and then press the 'get coordinates' button. Your coordinates should then magically appear in the boxes below. UK users - remember to include the space in the middle of your postcode.

Fill in the meta tags and meta description fields

Think of all the things people looking for your tuition services would search for and add those keywords (separated by commas) in the meta keywords field. In the description, add a simple one or two-liner descibing what you do.

Example

Meta description - Excellent guitar teacher will take you from beginner to advanced in 3 months.

Meta keywords - guitar, hollywood, LA, los Angeles, classical, rock, jazz, music theory, motivational, beginner, intermediate, advanced
